Neff hob units are available in 4 types: gas, induction, ceramic and domino. You have probably heard of the first three as they are available from most manufacturers, but the domino hob is a bit more unusual as it allows for a greater window for customisation and arranging the hob area to suit individual needs. The domino Neff hob allows a choice of combining different types of hob elements into one area. The choices available include a High Speed wok burner, Barbeque Grill, deep fat fryer and state of the art induction hob. The Domino hob is mounted on black ceramic glass and feature oval controls that match the ovens manufactured by Neff.
There is the option with all the hobs to choose colour trimmed models to match other appliances, oval knobs to match other ovens within this manufacturers range or appliances that blend in more naturally with the worktops.
The most popular choice in the Neff line-up is still the gas hob. This is probably because of the controllability that a gas hob allows, but also possibly because of people's familiarity with cooking using gas. Neff offer a range of finishes and a choice of Cast Iron or enamelled pan supports.
Despite the consistent popularity of gas hobs, ceramic hobs are also coming back into fashion, most likely due to their neat finishes and tidy appearance that fits well into contemporary kitchens. The Neff ceramic hobs have a smooth glass finish that is practical and easy to clean.
Induction hobs have a similar style to ceramic hobs and also have that neat and tidy finish that sways it for a lot of people, but their operation is far more efficient and speedy than a ceramic hob. Induction hobs are also very easy to control, which means that they combine some of the best features of the gas hobs and the ceramic hobs to make something of an all- rounder. Induction hobs also save energy and are very safe as there is very little residual heat once the pan is removed from the hob. There is a drawback to using induction hobs for the first time in that only ferrous metal pans are ay have to splash out on some new pans if considering going down the induction cooking route.
There are six series of hob available in the Neff hob range. Series 1 offers all the basic functions you need for cooking on the hob and is very affordable, but that is about it. No flash features, but practical.
Series 2 hobs come include all the features that are available in a Series 1 hob, but with some additional features. It is the same for series 3 hobs, in that they share all the features of the series 2 hobs, but with some additional features and son on up throughout the series. Series 5 and series 6 hobs are the highest specification Neff hobs available and are aimed at people who are serious about cooking and spend plenty of time in the kitchen. All appliances from Neff have a 2 years warranty.
