The Kitchen Aid Immersion Blender may be employed either as a blender, either as a blender so you don't need to buy them both. As a cooking woman I'll tell you the space for storing cooking tools is very scant and never enough. So having a tool, this time a blender, that can be used as a mixer also is very important.

It is easy to use with only one hand and can be employed for all kinds of cooking recipes, like making smoothies, baby food, cutting potatoes or mix other solids or liquids. It penetrates deep into the solids and the blades are terribly robust so you can use it even for robust plants or fruits without troubling that it will broke.

The great thing about the Kitchen Aid Immersion Blender is that it fits in your hand, not so small or big and is reasonably light, weighting only 2.9 pounds.

My kitchen is small so having it so long is disturbing me. Anyhow is better than having it too tiny. Also it comes with three little lids where you can blend your ingredients easily. You can make extraordinarily simply soups or juices with Kitchen Aid Immersion Blender and you don't need to put them in the mixer which is impractical as they come big and takes a lot of space, plus the cleaning job after you finish.

I have used it for fresh tomato sauce, shrimp bisque, and even milk shakes. The KHB300 includes a deep plastic container that allows smaller quantities to be processed. I do not use it regularly but I'm pleased I have it when I do.

It does a better job of whipping cream or egg whites than anything I have tried. I have used it to make mayonnaise too. The only obstacle is the whisk is too light for heavy ingredients,eg whipping butter or cream cheese.

Nevertheless, with some encouragement it works for tiny jobs in client kitchens.

The other negative is the device doesn't fit my hand well and if it's used by me for at least 3 mins my hand cramps. I have small hands and short fingers, but it could be that if my hand was a bit smaller or even larger it might fit the design better. Fortuitously, the device is powerful enough that 3 mins of constant use is rare.
