Polar F11 Heart Rate Monitor - The Lean Mean Fitness Machine

The Polar F11 heart rate monitor, being a handy wristwatch as well, is the preceding model to the F80 and F60 but it does not connote that the F11 is inferior against the new models. In fact the Polar F11 has won numerous awards for innovation and is still considered the most trusted heart rate monitor used in training by the world's top athletes and fitness experts. The F11 boasts of impressive technology and takes your average training regimen to the next level. Fitness buffs should be thankful indeed.

The unique thing about the F11 is the "Keep U Fit" program that conveniently designs a weekly program according to your current fitness level. It does so by requiring the user to take a short fitness test and input some relevant information and stats and analyzes the information to determine how fit the user is based on its own predetermined scale. The next step is how the user determines what aspects of his/her fitness would need to improve, and the F11's Keep U Fit program will design a weekly program for the user to follow. Figures such as exercise duration and heart rate variables are provided to inform the user the kind of intensity needed to achieve throughout the training program.

The Polar F11 also keeps track of various stats such as length of exercise sessions, calories burnt and heart rate statistics. Perhaps the only downside to it's many merits is the non user-replaceable battery, not a concern for some but is still a major hassle for many. The F11 needs to be taken to an authorized service center should the need for a battery replacement arise. Thankfully, the newer F60 and F80 model resolves this problem, but the addition of Polar software will cost you more. The F11 comes with it's own software in the purchase price.

Polar was the first to introduce the first wireless heart rate monitor in 1977, and manufactures a wide variety of heart rate measuring devices for athletic and fitness training. In 1982 Polar launched the first wearable heart rate monitor and is the pioneer in measuring beat-to-beat intervals therefore giving an accurate reading to detect the users physical condition.
