2. Reverse osmosis removes the essential minerals present naturally in water. These minerals, as the name suggests, are very essential for your health. By drinking de-mineralized water that you get from RO units, you could develop several complications like acid reflux.

Let me make something very clear - having a reverse osmosis unit is definitely better than having no water filter at all. But, at the same time, you need to remember that you have lots of choices when it comes to water filters. Most people assume that GE reverse osmosis filters are the best choice because they do not have any idea about other types of water purifiers available on the market today. So, let me tell you something about the Water Purifier that I have been using for more than a year now.

I use a water purifier which uses active carbon filters to purify water. Since it is a multi stage process, different types of contaminants are removed during each stage. As a result, more than 99% of the contaminants present in tap water are removed and you get pure water. Most importantly, this method does not remove the essential minerals present in water. It gives clean, tasty, and healthy water to drink - every day. Since it costs very less, I get complete value for my money as well.

Like I already said, GE reverse osmosis water filter is a reasonably good choice, but it is certainly not the best choice available for you. You can go for much better water purifiers which are available at affordable prices. At the end of the day, the choice is yours.
